Just in case anyone ever checks in on this blog anymore-
I am not sure what to do with it. Its original purpose was to give some updates to grandma and other family members back in Washington. Seeing as I have been living at grandma's house for the last three months, surrounded by my once long distance family members, makes that purpose a bit pointless.
I suppose an update would be good. I originally decided to move back home for a couple of months for several reasons- the primary one being that my husband was working out of town 5-6 days a week, and it was pretty lame being a single mom. Other reasons are family related, but mostly having to do with my father losing his job and being diagnosed with dementia in the fall. I had hoped to be of some use to him and my mom as she needs to be at work all day. Then I was to come back after the holidays with my husband.
Well, Christmas came and went and all of the reasons why I originally came out here were as strong as ever. Steve is still working far away, dad is still in need of help, and other issues, some having to do with our housing, have led us to decide that I am going to stay here for a while longer- not sure how long, but probably as long as my husband is MIA.
This has not been an easy decision for us- it has been difficult to give up my life in Tennessee for such a long period of time- to say goodbye to friends and church, but we are certain this is the right move for us right now. So for those of you who have been wondering what happened to us, that is it, in a nutshell.
As for the blog, I don't know what the future holds for it. It may be repurposed, or it may just be on hiatus until our lives are back to normal (whatever that might mean). So thanks for checking in.

This is also a great way to let us all know (even those of us close to you right now) how to pray for you.

You could always use it as a forum for the things you've been dealing with with your dad. So that you can one day look back and remember the funny and interesting parts of this whole ordeal. And help us to share the burden on your shoulders, because we all know your Mother has a hard time letting us share that.
